Lessons I learned
Now that I will be turning 26 years old this month, I am posting advices that I have learned along the way .
1. Think ... Think....Think ..
Every decision in my life requires deep thinking and praying as well. I weigh the consequences associated with my actions.
2. No regrets
I always stick to what I have already deciced on and I refused to blame anyone if it was a wrong decision . I always believe that everything has a purpose in life and we must learn from it.
3. Stick to what you know
It is always best to trust your instinct . Trust the knowledge that you have and if you don't know something , don't force yourself to answer it or try to act as if you know everything. Do research and try to grasp as much knowledge that you can .
4. Count your blessings
Life is not perfect . Sometimes your up and sometimes your down . Learn to value what you have and be thankful for what you have. A wise man once said ., " Don't complain that you don't have any shoes for the man next to you may not have any feet. "
5. People Change
I am not the person who has a thousand friends but I can say that for most people that I have created relationships with , they change. There is always something new with someone. Change is inevitable so don't assume that people are always the same. However, I know that what matters most is the values that we treasure. People may change in appearance or lifestyle but deep inside what they value in life still remains.
6. Life holds many surprises
I always plan for the future . I plan ahead since I hate the unknown . Yet it is for a fact that we can't predict out future. And true enough life holds many surprises along the way. When I was young , I had a lot of plans for my life and now it didn't turned out to be what I had hoped for . No regrets though since change happens. And I always appreciate what I have and not focus on what I can't do
7.Laugh
Worrying makes you look old and laughing carries with it a vibe of positive energy .
8. I can't control people but I can control how I will react to others
I can't expect people to be like me but I alone can control how I feel about other people.
9. Respect
Before I would always argue with someone so that my opinion would be accepted. I was and still am a good debater. Yet as I grew older I realized that you can't always change the point of view of someone. Its better to not comment about it and just respect it. Yet my silence doesn't mean that I agree with you.
9. Learn to pick your fights
There are battles worth fighting for and there are small stuff that are not worth fussing about. If it can't change your life in a drastic way, then learn to let go .
Lastly , Live life with faith and love. Endure in your faith in God and love for others.
